All About the Trim Levels of the 2020 Ford Escape

If you’re looking for a sleek and function-driven SUV to hit the road with this year, the redesigned 2020 Ford Escape is built with your busy lifestyle in mind. The 2020 Escape is offered in five different trims fitting individual needs and price ranges. Let’s break each trim down. 

Ford Escape S 

The Ford Escape S is the base trim model, starting at $24,885 with a 180 horsepower three-cylinder turbocharged Ecoboost engine. This model features Ford Co-Pilot360, an advanced driver-assist technology suite including automatic braking with pre-collision assistance, a rearview camera, automatic high beams, and a lane-keeping system that helps detect drowsiness and keeps drivers safer on the road. 

 

The technology package for the Escape S includes FordPass Connect, an app that allows drivers to perform several functions like start/stop, lock/unlock, and the ability to schedule a remote start. FordPass Connect also functions as a WiFi hotspot accessible up to 50 feet from the vehicle. This base trim includes cloth upholstery, a 4.2-inch display screen, a second row of seats with 60/40 split-fold capability, and a brand new seat-sliding feature that makes room for more cargo.  

Ford Escape SE 

The Ford Escape SE starts at $27,095 and comes with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine. This model includes all of the base features of the Escape S, with the addition of SYNC 3, an eight-inch smart touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition, climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and satellite radio. This trim also features a 10-way power driver seat allowing drivers to position their seats perfectly and heated seats for the first row. The Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist can be added on as an upgrade, which includes adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go feature and a voice-activated navigation system. 

Ford Escape SE Sport Hybrid 

The sport hybrid version of the SE trim starts at $28,255 and features a 2.5L I-4 Atkinson-cycle powertrain with an eCVT an 88 kW electric motor. This hybrid also has a lithium-ion battery that is 1/3 the size of older models, making it easy to store safely underneath the vehicle. This trim comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360 with the option to upgrade to Co-Pilot360 Assist. Standard 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with sleek, modern black-painted pockets can be upgraded to the SE Sport Premium Package featuring a panoramic roof and rugged ActiveX seat material. 

Ford Escape SEL 

The Escape SEL starts at $29,255 and comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This trim features a foot-activated liftgate making it easier to open and load up the trunk, and comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360. The standard seating material for the SEL is ActiveX, a synthetic leather. Other standard features for the SEL include a heated steering wheel and rear parking sensors. 

Ford Escape Titanium 

The top trim level is the Escape Titanium, starting at $33,400. This trim comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, Active Park Assist 2.0 that helps drivers parallel or perpendicular park, FordPass Connect, SYNC 3 and an immersive B&O Sound System by Bang Olufsen featuring 10 speakers and a subwoofer. The Titanium has a 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-Cycle I-4 engine, genuine leather upholstery, and dual automatic climate control.
